About the citizen engagement process
- Knowledge exchange between the institutions that manage nature reserves allows for the implementation and development of sustainable livestock initiatives: Participants felt that knowledge exchange with institutions such as WWF (World Wildlife Fund), Nature Conservancy and Parques Naturales de Colombia has allowed them to learn more about other successful experiences with civil society nature reserves, giving access to knowledge about good sustainable livestock practices, strengthening their network of contacts in the region and in receiving assistance and technical support.
- Women have a strong role to play in leading the most important sustainable livestock initiatives and promoting actions for climate change in the region:
